Product Description

Epifanes Fiberglass Prep Cleaner (FPC.1000) is a highly effective degreaser formulated for cleaning and preparing fiberglass (GRP) surfaces prior to sanding and painting. It removes wax, mold‑release agents, oil, grease, tar, and other contaminants that interfere with adhesion.

This cleaner is essential for proper surface preparation on gelcoat and fiberglass surfaces both above and below the waterline. It ensures contaminants are removed rather than redistributed, creating a clean, residue‑free surface ready for sanding and coating.

Also suitable for cleaning bare steel, aluminum, and epoxy resin surfaces.

Recommended Use

• Degreasing fiberglass/GRP surfaces above and below the waterline

• Preparing surfaces prior to sanding to avoid grinding contaminants into the substrate

Application Instructions

• Use multiple clean lint‑free rags or paper towels
• Wet the surface with a cloth soaked in Epifanes Fiberglass Prep Cleaner
• Immediately wipe dry with a second clean cloth
• Turn rags frequently and replace often to ensure contaminants are removed, not redistributed
• Always degrease before sanding
• Not suitable for degreasing one‑component paint or varnish systems
