Product Description
Epifanes Combi Filler Tube 225g (CFW.T) is a traditional one‑component knifing filler based on alkyd resin, formulated for leveling small surface imperfections in one‑component paint systems on wood or steel above the waterline. It features a fine, smooth structure and excellent sandability.
Combi Filler is ideal for filling minor dents, scratches, and irregularities between primer coats or prior to applying the first finishing topcoat. Apply in thin layers only (maximum 1mm per coat). For deeper filling, apply multiple thin layers, sanding between coats.
Sandable and recoatable after approximately 24 hours at 68°F. Convenient 225‑gram tube with resealable cap prevents drying and waste.

BuyEpifanes Expert Notes
- Apply in thin layers only. Combi Filler is designed for fine surface correction, not heavy fairing. Keeping each layer under 1mm ensures proper drying and prevents shrink‑back under topcoats.
- Sanding matters. P280 is ideal for leveling without scratching surrounding primer. If P280 is unavailable, P320 is an acceptable alternative.
- Pre‑coating prevents sink‑in. After sanding the final filler layer, apply a 15–20% thinned finish coat before your full topcoat to avoid dull patches.
- Use the correct primer. Combi Filler performs best over Epifanes Multi Marine Primer.
- Temperature control is critical. The substrate must be at least 5°F above dew point to ensure proper adhesion and drying.
- Perfect for spot repairs. Ideal for screw holes, dents, scratches, and small leveling jobs. For larger fairing, use an epoxy fairing compound.
- Tube format reduces waste. The 225g tube minimizes air exposure and keeps filler fresh longer than tins.
- Do not apply wet‑in‑wet. Allow each layer to fully dry before sanding and recoating.
- Above‑waterline use only. Combi Filler is alkyd‑based and not suitable for below‑waterline applications.
